We had so much interest in our new State of the Region dialogue on climate change on Monday, that we had to move it to a bigger venue!
The dialogue got off to a great start, and there seemed to be real concensus amongst the forty or so delegates on how to progress some of the issues raised.
in the talks from:
The presentations are all now available to view (with accompanying audio). They’re all worth a listen!
- Roger Levett (Levett-Therivel sustainability consultants) presented delegates with six tricky challenges for evidence-based climate change policy
- Ann-Marie Brouder (Forum for the Future) shared a vision of a future low-carbon West Midlands
- Chris Crean (Friends of the Earth) challenged everyone to walk the talk on climate change and turn the region’s policy into real action
- Becky Gill (Government Office for the West Midlands) presented the West Midlands Climate Change Action Plan
Over the next six months, the work programme for the dialogue will be taken forward by the Environment group, which draws together data analysts, researchers and academics from across the West Midlands.
If you’d like to get involved with the work please add a comment below and we’ll get in touch.
