There are just two days left to register for the Observatory’s workshop From recession to growth – the importance of innovation in a changing economy.
The full day workshop will be held in the Technology Innovation Centre at Birmingham City University, on 19th March 2009.
This workshop has been organised as part of our role in supporting the region and local partners as they seek to steer the regional economy through these difficult times.
The workshop brings together leading academics from different themes of innovation research to outline the challenges and policy implications that face the region as it seeks to achieve the objectives of the West Midlands Economic Strategy.
This is an all day event but people can book for part of the day. Delegates will hear presentations on key innovation themes from leading academics. The keynote presentation will focus on the importance of innovation in times of recession.
We’re also pleased to welcome Patrick Harris as our keynote speaker, who will speak on innovating during a recession.
