Public art think tank seek board members

ixia, the public art think tank, is looking to develop its board of directors/trustees to support its work.

ixia is a charity which aims to provide an independent and objective view of the factors that affect the quality of artists’ work in the public realm. They do this by undertaking research, enabling debate and effecting change at a strategic level.

Most public art commissioned in England is funded by the development and regeneration sector. ixia are looking for an experienced person with knowledge, contacts and expertise in this sector. Ideally, they will be an executive with a high profile and development experience involving public and private sector programmes; large scale delivery; partnership working; and finance in a development context.

The post is unremunerated but expenses are reimbursed. There are four board meetings a year, plus an additional strategy review meeting each year. The meetings take place in London.
